Effective date: 6 October 2026
This privacy policy describes how the QR Pigeon application for Android ("QR Pigeon" or "the app") handles information on the device where it is installed. QR Pigeon is developed and published by WarkenSoft Productions ("the developer").
1. Information collected
QR Pigeon does not collect, transmit or share any personal information. The app does not request permission to access the internet. As a result, information entered into QR Pigeon cannot be sent from the device by the app. The developer receives no information about users or about how the app is used.
QR Pigeon contains no user accounts, advertising, analytics or crash reporting.
2. Text entered into the app
The user enters a link or other text, which QR Pigeon uses to draw a QR code. This text is held in memory only while the app is running and is not stored.
3. Saving a QR code
When the user taps "Save", QR Pigeon adds a picture of the QR code to the photos on the device. On Android 9 and older, the device first asks the user for permission to access storage. The app uses this permission only to save the picture. It does not read the user's other photos or files.
4. Sending a QR code
When the user taps "Send", the device displays its own list of applications and contacts. QR Pigeon passes the picture of the QR code only to the application the user selects. The handling of the picture by that application is governed by that application's privacy policy.
5. Information stored on the device
The only information QR Pigeon stores is the pictures the user has chosen to save. These remain in the device's photos until the user deletes them. Uninstalling QR Pigeon does not remove them.
6. Changes to this policy
If a future version of QR Pigeon changes how the app handles information, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised accordingly.
