QR Pigeon turns a link or any other text into a QR code that you can send to someone or save to your phone.
How it works
- Type or paste a link or any text.
- Tap "Create QR code".
- Tap "Send" to share the code by email, text message or any other app that accepts pictures. Tap "Save" to keep it in your photos.
What you can put in a QR code
- A link to a website, a menu, a form or a video
- An address, a phone number or contact details
- A short message or a note
- Any other text, up to about 2,900 characters
The picture you get
Your QR code is a sharp 1024 x 1024 picture, black on white, with a white border around it. The border lets it scan on light and dark backgrounds. You can show it on a screen or print it on a flyer or a sign.
Your text stays on your phone
QR Pigeon has no access to the internet. Nothing you type leaves your phone unless you send it yourself. You do not need an account. The app has no ads and collects no information about you. It works offline.
Good to know
QR Pigeon makes QR codes. It does not scan them. The camera on most phones already does that.
The app follows your phone's light or dark setting. The QR code always sits on a white card so that it scans in dark mode too.
QR Pigeon is free and runs on Android 7 and newer.
