Timestand Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how the Timestand application for Android ("Timestand" or "the app") handles information on the device where it is installed.

Effective date: 2 October 2026

This privacy policy describes how the Timestand application for Android ("Timestand" or "the app") handles information on the device where it is installed. Timestand is developed and published by James Warkentin ("the developer").

1. Information collected

Timestand does not collect, transmit or share any personal information. The app does not request permission to access the internet. As a result, information that Timestand reads on the device cannot be sent from the device by the app. The developer receives no information about users or about how the app is used.

Timestand contains no user accounts, advertising, analytics or crash reporting.

2. Notification access

With the user's permission, Timestand reads the notifications currently shown on the device in order to list them within the app. For each notification, the app uses the name of the sending application, the notification's title and text, and the time it was received. This information is held in memory only while the app is running and is not stored.

Timestand does not dismiss, reply to or modify notifications. The user may withdraw notification access at any time in the device's settings.

3. Calendar access

With the user's permission, Timestand reads events from the calendars on the device for the current day and the following four days. The app displays the title, time and location of each event. It also reads the names of the device's calendars and their associated accounts, so that the user can select which calendars are displayed.

Timestand has read-only access to calendars. It cannot create, modify or delete events. The user may withdraw calendar access at any time in the device's settings.

4. Information stored on the device

The only information Timestand stores is a list of the calendars the user has chosen to hide. This list remains on the device. If the user has enabled Android's backup service, Android may include this list in the device backup stored in the user's Google account. Uninstalling Timestand removes the list from the device.

5. Changes to this policy

If a future version of Timestand changes how the app handles information, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised accordingly.
